With an investment of RMB 150 million, the project covers an area of 14.8 acres. The project will introduce tomato paste, chili pepper paste and onion paste production lines made in Italy, with a designed capacity of processing 3,500t fresh tomatoes, 1,000t fresh chili peppers and 1,000t fresh onions per day. It can produce 30,000t tomato products, 10,000t chili pepper products, 10,000t onion products and 30,000t bagged diced tomatoes and peeled whole tomato products every year, securing an output of RMB 510 million, including USD 53.6 million of foreign exchange earned through export, RMB 74.46 million pf industrial added value, and RMB 21 million of profits and taxes, and creating job opportunities for 500 people. The project, once completed, will drive the development of protected agriculture and construction of a 6,400 acre raw material planting base in Yanqi Basin. The Company will actively roll out the modern farming pattern more widely, pursue the new concept of taking solids content as the measure of sourcing, and steadily improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural production to increase farmers' income.
